About the Program

Maalka’s newest program, Benchmark Compliance (BC), was built with local governments in mind. Designed to simplify and strengthen the administration of energy benchmarking, BC can improve your program’s compliance - whether you’re a city with a benchmarking ordinance or a state with a community-centered voluntary program. BC can integrate seamlessly with Energy Star® Portfolio Manager® reports and exports, and lets you jumpstart a new or existing energy benchmarking program through simplified compliance status tracking, automated alerts, and real-time data validation across all your buildings.

Benchmarking Compliance

Benchmarking Compliance employs the latest standards and tools to ensure error-free, seamless benchmarking administration. Maalka employs the U.S. Department of Energy’s Unique Building IDs (UBIDs) to confirm that properties are assessed correctly and referenced with consistent naming conventions. Further error prevention is achieved through automatic data quality checks that scan data as soon as it is imported or entered into Maalka. Lastly, Maalka makes results easy to share with Public Profiles, so that those without Maalka credentials can see how buildings are performing. Through these innovations, Benchmark Compliance provides an end-to-end solution to transform your program in days.
